Delegations of more than 150 countries were listening when we explained that the Single Convention has ceased to be relevant.
It was not allowed to photograph nor film this intervention

In the evening a ceremony took place in front of the UN building where the Single Convention was cremated.

FROM THE COMMISSION ON NARCOTIC DRUGS, DAY 4 + 5
We need to be brave and point out the fact that drug prohibition and the vision of a drug free world are part of a totalitarian ideology. The parallels to marxism and fascism are striking: they all have a utopian vision of society as a goal and they all use similar methods to impose it. They all use propaganda (usually half truths to outright lies), discrimination, demonization, repression, incarceration (sometimes in prison camps comparable to the gulag) and even execution of a certain group.
The only thing making the anti-drug ideology not as bad as the other ones is, that it doesn’t seek to control each and every aspect society. But this still doesn’t justify the whole thing, especially after we’ve seen the horrors of the last century’s totalitarianisms.
