Some of our Italian Encod members have asked the Steering Committee to comment on the first parliamentary proposal of more then 300 Members of the Italian Senate and of the Chamber of Deputies where the proposal is numerically at the strongest with about 220 subscribers.
I don’t rejoice about people ending up in prison but the police putting Dr. Giovanni Serpelloni, the former head of the Italian Anti-drug Department, DPA, under house arrest, is worth some comment. Not only was he a good friend of the US counterparts that -after the shift from the Republicans to the Obama administration- have tried to recycle themselves in the drug policy field and in the US-Italian scientific research that has been also greatly funded. They want to teach the people a lesson coming from Italy: “Don’t fool around with prohibitionists. We have our eyes on you!”

2. april 2016. Part of the testimonies made for Canadian production about healing with cannabis in Serbia and Balkan:
“Cannabis is my medicine and I just want to be a good mother and to live for my children. When I have cannabis I do not have ms. Law forbid me to grow and to use the only medicine that can give me normal life! Cannabis is a CURE! Just legalize it and let us heal ourselves.”
Nobody should every forbid the cure to any ill person! The wrong anty-human lows need to be changed and rejected as they are based on lies and now we know that are in opposite with science, and direct evidence like Ana and all we are. WE ARE THE BEST PROOF THAT CANNABIS IS A CURE!
In Serbia they arrest ill people for healing with cannabis, the possession of small amounts of it, or a plant is criminally processed, and you can go to jail. But thousands of people are illegally healing themselves wit cannabis and RSO.
We have no choice.
BETTER TO BE ILLEGALLY LIVE THAN TO BE LEGALLY DEAD!
Lot of gratitude for Oswaldo Perez Cabrera and Raechel Norrgard for coming to Balkan to make this important documentary for all of us. In Serbian media there is still totally silence about our testimonies and our proofs, and we have more public personal testimonies about successful healing with cannabis than in any country in Europe.

Many activists, NGOs and protestors refuse to go in the building and instead camp outside the UN in New York, for the 2016 UNGASS conference about the War on Drugs!

Not only, because UN is a difficult place to get in at the best of times, but because they see it as futile, as many of the key decisions are already made, like the continued adoption of the prohibitionist stance, which was adopted on day one, without any discussion or voting!. This maintains policies that criminalise non-medical or scientific drug use, when the whole world has for many years been crying for an end to the war on drugs and the war on people that use drugs.

There are no signs of any slowdown in the continuous stream of legal highs with more than 100 new psychoactive substances reported in 2015, according to a report by Europol and the EU’s drug agency.
In October 2001, the U.S. launched its invasion of Afghanistan largely through proxy Afghan fighters with the help of Special Operations forces, American air power, and CIA dollars. The results were swift and stunning. The Taliban was whipped, a new government headed by Hamid Karzai soon installed in Kabul, and the country declared “liberated.”
