The Encod Steering Committee draws the following conclusions of its meeting with officials of the Drugs Coordination Unit of the European Commission on 3 Sep 2009.
ENCOD MEETING WITH EU ANTI-DRUGS UNIT
On 3 September 2009, ENCOD Steering Committee members Fredrick Polak, Marisa Felicissimo, Pedro Quesada and Jorge Roque had a meeting with Mr Timo Jetsu and two other Commission officials at the Drugs Coordination Unit (DCU) of the European Commission in Brussels.
The meeting was requested by ENCOD to receive explanation on the current status of the European Action on Drugs and the Civil Society Forum on Drug Policy.

Proces tegen ‘s werelds grootste drugslokaal begint – Een gewone coffeeshop lijkt op een café waar je wiet koopt in plaats van bier. Checkpoint in Terneuzen leek meer op een supermarkt, met zijn vijf kassa’s, eigen parkeerterrein en honderd man personeel. Meer dan tweeduizend bezoekers per dag, dat moet je verdienen. Maandag begint een heel belangrijk proefproces: is het gedogen straks echt voorbij?
