ENCOD’s Position Paper for the Civil Society Forum on Drug Policy in the European Union
In the end of june 2010 we launched “Plan C” with the purpose of obtaining the legal import of traditional derivates of the coca leaf in Europe.

People around the world are speaking and acting against the war on drugs. They challenge both the social stigma and legal consequences when publically questioning the corruption, legal insecurity and discrimination that is caused by the war on drugs. They are being
persecuted or convicted for motives that are directly related to their

On 4 March 2009 we organised the conference “Coca 2009 – from persecution to proposal” in the European Parliament in Brussels.
On 15 June, the European Commission organised a meeting of the core group of the EU Civil Society Forum on Drug Policy. Encod is a member of this group (together with Correlation, Irefrea, INPUD, EHRN and EURAD).
The core group was formed during the last session of the CSF in March 2009.

On 19 March 2010, the following statement was printed in the Malaysian newspaper The Sun. It was also presented during picket-line manifestations in front of the Malaysian Embassies and consulates in Copenhagen, Kathmandu, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris (on 4 March 2010) and Vienna (on 8 March 2010). Letters were delivered to Malaysian embassies in Berlin and Brussels.
